You're still with the disciples, and the risen Jesus is still right there in the room. Everyone is quiet, hanging on every word.
But the next thing Jesus does is wordless. He breathes on you.
He'd never done that before.
It's a powerful experience to have Jesus breathe on you. It's like the story of creation when God formed Adam out of the clay "and blew into his nostrils the breath of life."
But this is more than simply human life that Jesus is breathing upon you. He says, "Receive the Holy Spirit."
You can't imagine the impact this had. Everyone knew what Jesus was doing. he was giving you God-life. His own Spirit. Not temporarily. Permanently. Part of you. The enlivening, expansive breath of God within you.
Everyone is hushed. It is the holiest moment of your lives. Sacred. Hallowed. Wondrous.
