Jesus and Peter have move apart from the rest, and the two of them are together alone. Except for you. You're close by watching, listening. And they don't mind.
It's still early morning. Fairly cool. The sea is peaceful.
Jesus has taken the initiative and asked Peter to come down the shore a bit where they could be alone. Peter has been waiting for this opportunity, but is nervous about it.
"Do you love me more than these?" Jesus isn't necessarily asking if Peter loves him more than the other disciples love him. It might mean that. but he could also be asking if Peter's love for him is deeper than his love for "these," that is, friends, possessions.
You are not with Jesus and Peter, but you look at Jesus' face as he asks his question. You listen to his tone of voice, and which word or words he stresses.
You can't see Peter's face as he listen to Jesus. Is he looking down at the sand, or into Jesus' eyes? Then Peter's response - his voice, his eyes, his gestures. Are you surprised by which words he stresses, pauses over?
Watching how they talk may help you when you talk to the Lord.
