Mary and Joseph leave Bethlehem and Jerusalem with the memories of all that had happened there, and all that was said about their child.
Jesus would grow up in Nazareth as part of a wide family circle - an extended family. Most of the people in that obscure hill town would most likely have been his relatives.
At the beginning there was surely some talk about the events surrounding his birth. But after a while, people get over things like that. Life goes on. As Jesus grew up, he was probably not much different from other boys his age ... at least not much different in anything you could see. He made friends, went to the synagogue, and started to learn a trade.
This is no surprise. The divine doesn't have to show up in dramatic ways.
You have God's life within you. It doesn't always show up in dramatic ways. But it does show up in undramatic ways.
What are some good things you've done, that you can look back upon, and be thankful that God's presence enabled you to do them?
